Q:

What is WISH?

A:

WISH is an educational enrichment co-op community for homeschool families. It is an acronym for “Workshops Investing in Socializing Homeschoolers.”

Q:

Where are you located?

A:

We meet at a facility in Sunland.  Exact address will be provided to those wishing to visit us.

Q:

Are there any requirements from parents?

A:

Yes, a parent or guardian from each family must give two hours of service to WISH each week. There are many ways to fulfill this requirement.  Descriptions of services can be found here.

Q:

How much does it cost?

A:

We charge a program fee of $400 per year per child if you are paying out of pocket + materials fees for certain classes and $500 per year if you are using charter school funds. This is the price whether you take one class or five classes.

Q:

Are there discounts for siblings?

A:

Yes, for children in the same household (direct pay only - please see Fees and Payment Options). We do not give sibling discounts for charter families.

Q:

Why does it cost more if you use charter school funds?

A:

Because it includes materials fees and billing costs.

What charter schools are you affiliated with?

A:

We are vendors for Gorman Learning Center, Sky Mountain, Golden Valley, Excel, Sage Oak, Inspire, Summit, Valiant, Compass, and iLEAD charter schools.

Q:

Who are your teachers?

A:

Our teachers are parent volunteers who have children attending classes at WISH. Most are either credentialed teachers or are professionals teaching in their field of study and expertise.

Q:

What teaching philosophy do you use?

A:

Each of our teachers have their own style. Some like to teach very structured and disciplined courses while others are very free and creative in their exploration. Class Descriptions will help you choose the classes that best fit your family.

A:

10 to 12 students.

Q:

No, we are not a drop off center.
