YHSA is excited to announce our THIRD annual

Young Entrepreneurs Marketplace

This is a wonderful opportunity to teach business skills as your child or teen considers the cost of supplies needed to create their product, figures out how to price their items (or service), creates displays, interacts with customers on the day of the event, handles monetary transactions, and so much more. 

This event will be advertised to the public and be just in time for people doing their holiday shopping! 

Details for Young Entrepreneurs:

Who can sell?  Any YHSA member age 19 or younger

What to sell? 

• Products created, handcrafted, assembled, upcycled, or embellished by you, excluding all food intended for human consumption.  (Dog treats would be okay, for example.) 
• Services performed by you (child care, pet sitting, lawn mowing, photography, music lessons, tutoring, etc.) 

Not sure what to create?  In the past we have seen doll clothes and other hand-sewn items, hand-painted glassware, foam weapons, various types of jewelry, clay creations, refrigerator magnets, loom band creations, dog treats and toys, natural bath and body products, knitted and crocheted items, and much more!  Some other ideas to consider:  gift-wrapping service for other items purchased the day of the event, holiday gift baskets, greeting cards, on-site photography, make and take craft table for kids, holiday ornaments, keychains, slime, refrigerator magnets, hair accessories, holiday wreaths.  The possibilities are endless!  

Registration Details

SPACE:  Each registration will be for an approximately 10' x 10' space.  The gym we are using is very large and there is plenty of room to spread out!  Metal folding chairs will be available for your use.

TABLES:  You are welcome to bring your own table(s) or other displays for your space.  We do have a limited number of 6' picnic-style tables available to use on a first-come first-served basis.  Please indicate on your registration whether you are bringing your own table or would like to use one of ours. 

ELECTRIC:  There are a limited number of spaces with electrical outlets available.  Please indicate on your registration if you need electricity for your space and we will try to accommodate you.  You will need to bring your own extension cord(s). 

Once you are registered, you will receive more information about setup, cleanup, and day of the event details.
