Human Trafficking 101, presented by Sparrow Place
Sparrow Place is a faith-based nonprofit whose primary purpose is to provide women survivors of sex trafficking with a safe place to live and the space and resources they need to leave their exploitation behind. Their primary avenue to accomplish this purpose is their beautiful home in York County, PA, provided FREE of COST, LONG-TERM, for survivors who are ready to begin their journey of self-care and wellness.
The secondary purposes of Sparrow Place are to promote PUBLIC AWARENESS of human trafficking, empower and armor communities through EDUCATION, and amplify the voices of victims and survivors through ADVOCACY.
Pennsylvania ranks 9th in the nation for reported Human Trafficking cases. The Joint "State Government Commission found that, "Pennsylvania is a source destination, and pass through state for trafficking in persons."
Please join us to learn what it is, how to recognize, respond, prevent trafficking, and why the mission of Sparrow Place is necessary and so important. A free-will offering will be taken to help support this mission.
