Home School Sports
Fairfax Home School Athletic Association (FHSAA)
Northern Virginia offers a wide variety of recreational sports opportunities in which homeschool families can participate, however, homeschoolers are legally excluded from public school sports teams. Therefore, FHSAA strives to provide athletes with a competitive sports environment where they can develop and hone their skills and compete against private middle schools and high schools teams at a high level. By both mission and practice, FHSAA is not designed to serve as a recreational sports organization.
RunFit Kidz is designed to teach boys and girls of all fitness levels in grades 2-8 about proper running mechanics, nutrition/hydration, pacing, and goal setting. The 8-week program includes dynamic warm-ups, strengthening and speed drills, form, and stretching. These skills will be taught through games and activities to help give kids a better grasp of the concepts in a fun and safe setting. Our commitment is for children at all fitness levels to run better, faster, and smarter. The goal is for the students to end the program with increased running knowledge and enhanced love for being active. The program concludes with a 5k run which is held locally in the Springfield/Burke area.

Other Home School Support
Catholic Home Schooled Young Adults-CHSYA
The Catholic Home Schooled Young Adults (CHSYA) is a group of Catholic young adults, grades nine through twelve, who are homeschooled. Our members live in Virginia, primarily in Fairfax County, Arlington County, Alexandria, and Loudoun County, but all are welcome. The group exists to promote, encourage and support young adults who are homeschooling during the high school years. The young adults and parents work together to provide opportunities for learning, socializing and sharing the faith. CHSYA has as its foundation, and as the guiding principle of all its functions and activities, fidelity to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
Harvester Teaching Services
Harvester Teaching Services (HTS) provides solid academic and elective classes to the Northern Virginia homeschooling community as well as practical assistance to parents who desire to educate their children from a Biblical worldview. HTS goes far beyond offering classes. It is the mission of HTS to create a community that comes alongside and partners with parents in discipling their children - not merely to "serve the Lord," but to love the Lord their God with every fiber of their being. We want to minister to the heart of children AND their parents! This is one reason why the HTS ministry is unique. We want to provide a context that is intentionally relational in its focus, opportunities, and tools. This mission will drive not only the "what" we do, but "how" we do it.
