Welcome

Connection Co-op meets in Brandon, on Tuesdays from late August unitl late April.

The Connection Cooperative was formed by a group of Christian homeschooling parents for the purpose of giving their children the opportunity to interact with other homeschooled children and to enrich the education they are receiving at home.

Connection is a ”sweat equity” homeschool co-operative that teaches Writing, History and Science.  We do not advertise outside of word of mouth and are not affiliated with a particular homeschool group.  As a member, you will participate as either a lead teacher for one subject and an assistant in another or as an assistant teacher in two subjects.  New members are rarely put as a lead teacher unless it is something they are really wanting to do or they have an area of expertise they want to share.

We meet once a week to facilitate the reinforcement or extension of lessons that are worked on at home.  Our Writing classes are typically IEW based curriculum and the offerings vary on the needs and skills of the students in the co-operative.  We strive to choose a History curriculum that can be used co-op wide and we supplement the spine with historical fiction so as to bring the events and timeline to life for the students.   Click the Articles and Publications link on this page for more information.

We equally divide facilities fee, copy fee and insurance cost.  We also have a materials fee and a science lab fee that is charged per student. We request our families join HSLDA because they provide our insurance. Families are responsible for providing all required curriculum.

If you are interested in finding out if Connection Co-op is the right fit for your family for next year,  please contact a current member to arrange a visit.  There is a general information meeting at the end of March.
