HCCH Participation Policies & Guidelines

(Updated 7/5/2022)

When you become a member of HCCH, you agree to abide by this list of policies and guidelines that have been set by the HCCH Board.  With a support group of this size, there is a need to publish a list of policies and guidelines, so all members know our group's expectations.

Please read through the list carefully and direct any questions or concerns to [email protected].

* The HCCH Board reserves the right to edit or amend these guidelines and polices as the need arises.  When the guidelines & policies are updated, all members will be notified via email.

HCCH Membership:

HCCH is a Christian Support Group which is open to ALL homeschooling families by membership with children of any age.  As we have many different Christian denominations represented in our group, we require our members to exercise love and understanding towards each other.  Our focus is on homeschooling, but we expect Christ-like behavior from our children and each other when we are together.

  • HCCH Yearly Membership runs from September 1st through August 31st.

  • New members can join anytime throughout the school year at the regular membership fee.

  • Members do not need to sign a Statement of Faith; however, all members are required to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the Statement of Faith (see below) and not promote contrary doctrines or beliefs while participating with HCCH.

  • Must be a current member of HCCH before registering for either BU or PAC Day.

  • HCCH Renewal Memberships:

    • Renewals are held between Aug. 1st and Aug. 31st

    • Parked Account:  accounts not renewed after Sept. 30th may be "parked" until membership fee is received.

    • BU and PAC Day: Must renew HCCH membership in spring/summer in order to register for classes for the new school year.

    • Renewal invoices will be created in the spring BEFORE the new year class day/co-op registration.

    • Outstanding Balances:  Any outstanding financial balances must be in good standing before renewing your HCCH membership.  These balances include any outstanding fees or class payments with either HCCH, BU or PAC Day. (New policy added 01/20/2017)

STATEMENT OF FAITH:

HCCH is a non denominational Christian support group that provides social and academic opportunities for homeschooled students of all grade levels in Bulverde/Spring Branch and surrounding areas. HCCH is a Christian organization, adhering to the historical tenets of the Christian faith. Your participation with HCCH does not require you to agree with our beliefs, however you will be required to conduct yourself in a manner consistent with them and not promote contrary doctrines or beliefs while participating with HCCH.

We believe:

1. The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and constitutes His completed and final revelation to man. The Bible, in its original autograph is without error in whole and in part including theological concepts as well as geographical and historical details.

2. God has existed from all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God come in human flesh being fully God and fully man except without sin.

3. All men are in violation of God’s righteous requirements and His holy character both by nature and act and are therefore under His wrath and just condemnation. The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the penalty for man’s sin through His death on the cross. The successful accomplishment of this was attested to by His subsequent visible bodily resurrection.

4. Salvation is offered as a free gift to mankind. We receive this gift through faith in Jesus Christ. We rest upon Him alone, not our works, for salvation.

5. Mankind is created in the image of God, male and female exclusively, which is accurate, correct, and complete (Gen 1:27). Marriage is the covenantal union of one man and one woman and this is the foundation of the family (Gen 2:24).
