Welcome

WELCOME TO LUMEN CHRISTI HOMESCHOOL GROUP!

Providing homeschool enrichment activities and support to families in Eastern Prince William County

In recognizing God’s gift of the Universal Church, Lumen Christi serves Catholic homeschooling families in the Woodbridge area. We are an all-volunteer group of families who provide support to each other through fellowship, encouragement, mentoring (parents and children), positive social interaction for children through various clubs and fun activities,  and opportunities for enrichment of family life through liturgical and other celebrations.

Activities Include

Drama Club - Ages 11 and Up, Sept 1st - May 30th. Each year culminates in the production of a full length play or musical. Meets on Wednesday 1:30 - 3:30

Nature Study - A Story, a nature walk to find whatever element we are studying, and sketching in nature journals.

Chess Club - Informal opportunity for children to learn and advance their chess skills.

PE Day - Children rotate through group sports including soccer, baseball, basketball, frisbee, etc.

Teen/Tween Events - Teen/Tween functions are a chance for children ages 11 and Up to get together for social, spiritual and service-oriented opportunities.

Little Flowers - is a Catholic program for girls 5-9 based on learning the virtues through the lives of the Saints.

Blue Knights - is a Catholic program for boys 5-9 based on learning the virtues through the lives of the Saints.

Little Way Tea Party - Enjoy the fellowship of other young ladies while embracing the particular gift of being daughters of God-learn an aspect of a saint, do a simple activity that will help us live our faith in a concrete way, and have quiet personal reflection time that will help foster a deeper relationship with Christ.

Youth Planning Committee - Tween/Teen meeting twice a month to plan various social events and service-oriented events for the group.

Meal Train - We offer a helping hand to moms that have just delivered or who are ill by preparing dinners for the families. We provide six meals - one each Monday, Wednesday and Friday for two consecutive weeks.

Feast Day Celebrations - Centered around Saint of the Month and includes faith related activities.
