Evaluation Day 2018

Date:  June 10, 2019

Location:  Mt. Aetna Bible Church, 11 N Chestnut St, Mt. Aetna PA

Cost:  $25

The Myerstown Enrichment Center offers homeschooling families a straightforward, affordable evaluation that fulfills the legal requirements of the Home Education Law.  Our evaluators respect and support different teaching and learning styles, and they are knowledgeable about the PA homeschool law, including the changes enacted in 2014.

The evaluation consists of a review of your student's portfolio (samples, log, and test results in grades 3, 5, and 8) and an interview with your student.  Also included is verification that the required time of instruction occurred, the required subjects were taught, and sustained progress was made.  Click on the link below to print the list of required documentation for evaluation.

A qualified evaluator meets with your child(ren) and, if everything is in order, you will leave with a signed notification of evaluation ready to submit to your school district.  You do not need to be a member of the Myerstown Enrichment Center to take advantage of this service, but prior registration is required.

Please print out and complete the registration form (below) and send it in with your check to the mailing address on the form.  (Please note:  The church's address above is not to be used for MEC correspondence, but is provided for location purposes only.)

Please print and fill out the following Subject and Book List form and bring along to your evaluation.  Also, for ease and consistency for the evaluator, we prefer your portfolio is in the order listed.
