Families should complete one survey per student planning to enroll in courses at PHS next year. Voting closes on Fri 24 Feb 2023.

Refer to the Course Descriptions (Google Doc) for more information about the Course Proposals.

Who fills out this survey is up to each family to determine but should reflect who decides which classes the student will take (and which classes the student’s parents, guardians, or caregivers are willing to pay for).

  1. If the parent, guardian, or caregiver makes those choices on behalf of the student, then the parent, guardian, or caregiver should be the one complete the survey.
  2. If the student makes these choices in consultation with the parent, guardian, or caregiver, then they should complete the survey together.
  3. If the student is free to make their own choices, then they can fill out the survey on their own.

Unsure if you’ll be returning to Planet Homeschool next year? PHS students graduate, transition to PSEO, enroll in public (or private) schools, or make other homeschooling plans, so the survey also includes a question asking you how likely you are to take any PHS courses at all next year. The Course Planning Team will weight your votes based on that answer. Students who are certain or almost certain they won’t be coming back, usually don’t vote, but if you’re on the fence, then you should feel free to vote.

If you have any questions about the survey or our co-op’s class selection process, please contact our co-op’s lead volunteers at PlanetHomeschoolMN+proposals@gmail.com.

A copy of your votes and a link to edit your preferences will be sent to the email address you enter at the start of the survey, but Google provides only one edit link per email address, so each student should use a unique email address if possible. If you have a Gmail account, you can use “plus aliases” to create a unique email address for each student in your family: username+studentname@gmail.com. No pre-setup is required to use a “plus alias” to receive email — just type it into the email field on any form (a small amount of setup is needed if you want to send from a “plus alias”).

Our co-op has not yet set COVID-19 Policies for 2024–2025, so for the purposes of this survey, you should assume those policies will be in alignment with your preferences.
