How do I join BHC? |

To join the Brook Hills Co-op, first click on the "Join" tab in the top right hand corner of the website. You will be prompted to enter profile information about you and your family. Once you submit the profile information, an administrator will receive your request. You must pay a non-refundable registration fee of $175 for each lower school student and/or $225 for each upper school student using Venmo to BHCoop. Dates for registration fees and registration are listed below: Current Students Friday, February 27, 2026: non-refundable registration fee per student ($175 for Lower School, $225 for Upper School). The order of payment no longer corresponds to the registration order. Parents can pay via Venmo anytime between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm. Friday, March 6, 2026: Students will register at set times according to grade level, beginning with seniors. Please make note of the time frame in which your student can register. You will receive an email at that assigned time informing you that your student's registration can begin. Please be courteous to fellow BHC families and wait for that email.
Siblings, The Church at Brook Hills members, general public: The process for these groups is a rolling registration based on the order in which non-refundable registration fees are paid. All payments are made to the BHCoop Venmo. The order in which you can register is determined by the timestamp on Venmo. Please do not pay before 7:00 am CST, or you may be removed from the front of the list. Monday, March 9, 2006 at 7:00 am: Siblings of current, eligible students can pay the non-refundable registration fee per student ($175 for Lower School, $225 for Upper School). Wednesday, March 18, 2026 beginning at 9 am: emails will be sent announcing that your account is unparked and registration can begin. Please be patient as we move through the list. Registration Periods: Spring Registration will conclude on April 1, 2026 when $50 non-refundable deposits per class are due to secure a student's place on the roster. Once the deposit has been paid, the parent assumes responsibility for the full year of tuition. Beginning April 2, 2026, a late registration period will be available. A $50 late fee will be added to the non-refundable registration fees. Lower School increases to $225, and Upper School increases to $275. Registration for the 2026-2027 academic year will conclude on April 30, 2026.

Where do classes meet? |
A: |
All classes meet at The Church at Brook Hills which is located at 3145 Brook Highland Parkway, Birmingham, AL 35242. Classes are held in the student building (green roof) and the modular units outside the student building. Upper school classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, and lower school classes meet on Thursdays. Upper school math and science classes (physical, biology, anatomy, forensics, and chemistry) meet two days a week. |

How do I see which classes my student is registered to take? |

From the home screen, click on the box labeled "Classes." In the top right hand corner of the page is an icon labeled "Registration Summary." Click on that icon, and your student's schedule will be displayed You may also print from this screen using the Print icon. |

Once I am able to register for classes, how do I see all the details on a particular class? |
A: |
Click on Classes on the home page, and a schedule matrix will be displayed. Click on the class you are interested in and an expanded box will be displayed. This box provides a quick summary of the class, the instructor's name, and the cost of the class. You may also click on the class description for a PDF that will provide the curriculum, teacher contact information, expectations, and more! |

Is study hall available for students? |

Study hall is available during all four class times on Tuesdays and Thursdays for UPPER SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY. The cost of study hall is $150 for 2026-2027 per student for the year. Students may register for up to 2 study hall per class day. The goal of offering study halls is for students to have a place to study/further their academic work while they wait for their next academic class. Students needs to be registered for an academic class in order to register for study hall.

BHC uses Venmo for all payments. Registration and facility fees are paid directly to BHC through Venmo using the following user profile: BHCoop All BHC teachers use Venmo as well. User names for teachers is here. |

Can I use the Alabama Choose Act to pay for BHC classes? |
A: |
Some homeschooling families may qualify for the Choose Act. Please note that BHC is not a school or state-certified group of teachers. Therefore, Choose Act funds are not applicable towards BHC costs at this time. |
