Elementary Expedition Earth 101/102
Expedition Earth 101/102
“Without Geography, you are nowhere!” - Jimmy Buffett
In this geography class students will tour the United States and continue around the globe to discover many different destinations throughout the world.
As world trekkers, we will begin our expedition by exploring the United States and then take our passports with us to travel abroad during the second semester. During our journeys we will navigate through different types of terrain, discover many landforms and landmarks, and learn about diverse people and their cultures by creating lapbooks, playing interactive games, tracking our travels with our special passports and more!
We are sure to have fun on our globe-trotting adventures!
Students in this class should be able to consistently demonstrate positive classroom interactions, raise hands to answer questions and share ideas and follow the teacher’s directions. They should also be able to identify commonly used sight words and write basic sentences.
Students will periodically receive handouts to be completed at home and will be given monthly quizzes as a review of concepts taught in the class.
