“HIS Co-op” Cooperative Learning Classes

LCHE offers cooperative learning classes (aka Homeschool Instructional Support "HIS" Co-op) to all LCHE members and are only made available to those who have completed all LCHE required registration and are paid current in dues.

Co-op classes are offered on a weekly basis and are age appropriate.  The co-op is 100% volunteer run, and classes are taught by home school parents.  Classes are 45-minutes and run from 9:00am to 12:15pm.

Co-op activities and classes are offered to all ages through High School, and a nursery space is provided. We do request that a family's oldest child be at least age 6 by September 1st.

Parents are required to be on-site and volunteer in some way. All children present must be registered in a class; we do not offer a Study Hall period.

The fee for each class varies each year and is collected at time of enrollment.

HIS Co-Op classes are held at Charter Oak Baptist Church (formerly Woodcrest Baptist Church), 11300 S Douglas Blvd, Guthrie OK 73044. HIS Co-Op Family Facility & Support Fee is $100 per family (First-Half is collected at enrollment and Second-Half is due in September, or $100 is collected at time of registration if past 9/30).  Financial commitments are made when enrolling and are expected to be fulfilled.  No refunds are made once payment is made.  For families joining after classes have started, we do not prorate fees. Payment is required to complete registration.

Families may be given a supply list to bring for each class.

LCHE members are not required to take part in co-op classes; but LCHE Membership is required to participate in HIS Co-Op.

Class Dates and Fees may be available upon request to non-members if not available under "HIS Co-Op/Class Listing" page.  Please use the contact link to request more details.  Serious inquiries only, please.

As of April 6, 2024, families may join LCHE but will not be eligible for consideration to registration for HIS Co-op until after May 1. We do not maintain a Wait List. In the event that spots do become available, Leadership will contact families in the order that they joined LCHE, if we have openings for all the children in that family.

However, we encourage you to take advantage of the extra-curricular opportunities (field trips, play days etc.) to hang out with LCHE Families and enjoy the fellowship and new friends. As a member of LCHE you will receive an email in the spring as soon as registration opens for the co-op for the next school year so that you will be able to register after teachers and returning co-op families, and before the "public" or non LCHE members.
