Welcome to GCCHS!

Welcome to GCCHS 2019-2020

GCCHS is a great place for meeting other homeschooling families, making friends, sharing information, and attending fun events! We want to be a source of encouragement for you and your family on your homeschooling journey.

During the school year we have events scheduled almost every day of the week!  We offer something for everyone.  Some examples of events we offer are:

  •  Big Events (Prom, Graduation)

  • Park Days (dodgeball/nerf wars/kickball)

  • Classes (PE, Microsoft, Programming, Starbase, Child Developement, etc.)

  • Clubs (Beta)

  • Family Night Events

  • Holiday Parties

  • Mom's Nights Out

  • Field Trips (Downtown Aquarium, HMNS, Moody Gardens, and much, much, more!!!)

GCCHS was formed in 2001 by a small group of area moms for fellowship and activities for their homeschooling children. We have since grown, from what was originally only about 20 families to now over 500.

Our membership runs concurrent with the traditional school year (August to May). All members are offered the opportunity to renew their membership only during the month of May at a reduced rate, special only for current GCCHS members. If you fail to renew during active member renewal time (in May), your membership will be deleted July 31st, and you will no longer be able to access the GCCHS website.

While formed originally as a Christian group, GCCHS is “inclusive” now. While our group was rooted and formed within Christianity, we welcome members from all faiths and we do not require a statement of Christian faith as a condition of membership. However, please keep in mind that the group has a Christian heritage, so you will see references to Christianity, prayers before a meal, requests for prayer and bible verses throughout our forums and in person. We are all respectful of each others choices and differences in beliefs.

Our group is run completely by volunteers.
Please be patient with us if there is any delay in processing your application.
If your application isn't approved within 30 days please check the following:

  • Did you submit your application using the button at the top of this screen?
  • Did you click to acknowledge the liability waiver on your application?
  • Did you pay your dues either by check or via PayPal?
  • Is it June or July? We do not process registrations during these months.

If you have checked all of the following, please email us at and we can work together to find the solution.
