Belief Statement

We believe the Bible, the authoritative Word of God, calls us to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to minister to all people, Christian, and non-Christian.  Our ministry at Eagle Learning Center will remain faithful to seek academic excellence from a Christian perspective.

We believe the Bible, the Holy Scripture, is the Word of God and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.

II Timothy 3:16  “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness…”

We believe Jesus Christ is the One and Only Son of the Living God and it is through Him alone that men may come to The Father in Heaven.

John 14:6  “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.’ ”

We believe eternal life through Jesus Christ is a gift of God by grace                      through faith.

Ephesians 2:8-9  “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.”

We believe that the Holy Spirit is our guarantee, our seal of salvation given to us when we were included in Christ through our belief.

Ephesians 1:13-14  “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation.  Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession – to the praise of His Glory.”

We believe Christians are called to live a pure and holy life in word                  and deed.

I Thessalonians 4:7  “For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.”

Ephesians 4:29  “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

We believe we should all keep our commitments.

James 5:12  “Above all, my brothers, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else.  Let your “yes” be yes, and your “no”, no, or you will be condemned.”

Proverbs 12:17  “A truthful witness gives honest testimony, but a false witness tells lies.”

We believe that the “laborer is worth his hire”, and teachers should receive a fair wage.

I Timothy 5:18  “For the Scripture says, ‘Do not muzzle the ox while it is treading out the grain,’ and ‘the worker deserves his wages.’”

We believe in the Scriptural process of dealing with problems that arise.

Matthew 18:15-17 “If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you.  If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.  But, if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’ If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.”
