Special HOMESCHOOL PARENTS Meeting
WHY PARENTS: Library needs your input into how to SPEND THEIR MONEY to buy things ONLY Homeschoolers need (curriculum, resources, manipulatives, etc).....for classes they can give to our kids OR for us to check out/use!!
TIME: 2-3:30
Cost: FREE
Tech Classes for Kiddos/Activites for Teens:
For the younger kids, we are going to use MouseBot which is a lot like Botly from last time, just without the remote to get in the way. They will be challenged to create their own mazes for the “mouse” to find the cheese. They will have to program their mouse to make the appropriate moves around the maze.
- Here is a link to MouseBot https://www.learningresources.com/product/learning+essentials--8482-+stem+robot+mouse+coding+activity+set.do
For the older kids, we thought we would teach them to use Bloxels to create their own video game. Bloxels is a bit time consuming and a lot of fun. This maybe an opportunity for the older kids to save their work on Bloxels, then come back and work on it each time they are in the library for class.
