Lincoln County Home Educators presents our 2nd Homeschool Art Explosion! Join us to celebrate our student artists and view artwork from local homeschool students. ALL LOCAL HOMESCHOOL GROUPS & FAMILIES ARE WELCOME! It is not required to be an LCHE member to participate. The only requirement is that you are a homeschooler from Lincoln Co. & surrounding areas and can meet the deadlines for submission and pickup of artwork. All art must be ready to hang (framed with hanging hooks attached) Dollar store frames will do if they can be hung on a nail.
A semi-formal reception will be held at Gallery 27 Studio from 7pm-9pm. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served. Families will be asked to bring a dish or dessert to share. We want to make this a special event for our students. Invite families & grandparents to help us honor our young artists.
Artwork details will need to be provided ASAP on or before Jan 18th, 2019. (i.e. type and name of artwork being submitted) The Gallery has also asked that we submit nice artwork photos for promoting the event. These photos will be the first glimpse of your art that the public will see so choose your images well and make sure that the quality is good. Photos shot on a camera phone are acceptable as long as they are well lit and in focus. Email your photos to: tmorrows65@gmail.com These photos will be posted on the Gallery 27 website and used in the web based marketing of our show.
Here are a few of the deadlines to keep in mind:
Jan. 10th - Artwork Photos for Marketing the Show
Jan. 18th - Artwork Details (type and name of art being submitted)
Jan. 29th & 30th - Artwork Hanging (details will be emailed to you regarding delivery of artwork)
Mar. 8th, 9th, 12th, & 13th - End of Show Artwork Pickup Dates (all artwork MUST be picked up from Gallery 27 during these dates, times will be emailed) Neither LCHE nor Gallery 27 can hold or store your artwork past the deadline.
