Ways to save on tuition
You may pay your balance in monthly payments. For those wanting additional opportunities, we have 4 different ways you can save money on your tuition payments:
Early Payment Discount
If you pay the entire balance early, you will save 5% on your class fees. (Does not apply to membership fees.) If you first semester bill is paid in full by August 4th, you will receive the 5% discount. If the second semester bill is paid in full by December 8th, you will receive the 5% discount.
If you refer a new family to Providence, and they sign up for classes, you can receive a $50 credit towards class fees. There is no limit to the number of $50 credits you can receive. If you were referred by a Providence family, please put the family's name in the "Message to Administrators" section of the membership application.
Each month, you have the opportunity to purchase gift cards to various and numerous stores all across the nation. Each store gives a percentage of the gift card back to the organization as a donation. That percentage back is then applied towards your tuition. For instance, if you purchase a $25 gift card to a store, and the store gives 10% back to the organization, then you will receive $2.50 towards your tuition for that gift card (you still receive the full $25 on the gift card as well). Gift cards can be purchased to specialty stores, grocery stores, gas stations, etc. You can invite friends and family to order through you to increase your percentage. For a list of participating vendors, you can go to glscrip.com and choose their alphabetical list from the left-hand side of the page.
Each family is required to also contribute $50 per semester per family via fundraising efforts (or just using the opt-out method of writing a check to Providence). If a family goes above and beyond with their fundraising efforts, some of that excess can be applied to a student's tuition if that student is taking more than one class. For instance, your family raises $200 in fundraising. The amount over the required amount is $100. Your family would be able to apply $75 (75% of the overage) towards a student's tuition for any 2nd or subsequent class. (Note that Young at Art is considered 2 classes because it takes place over two time periods.)
Work Study Awards
We do have a limited amount of need-based work study awards. Work study awards are given by our Board based on greatest need and willingness to work at Providence doing things like making copies, assisting in classes or promoting Providence and it's events to various businesses. If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please contact email@example.com for an application form.
