Job Openings for 2018-19 School Year

Semi-Private Lesson teachers for Guitar and Strings 

Are you a guitar or strings teacher that is passionate about music and about teaching the next generation? We are looking to add another guitar teacher (or a guitar assistant to work under the current teacher) and a strings instructor to our staff in the fall. A music degree is helpful, but not essential. Class consists of roughly 4 students to a teacher. Responsibilities include planning and preparing lessons according to individual pupils’ needs and abilities; teaching music theory and practical techniques; motivating students and encouraging progress; preparing students for the end of semester concerts; interacting with staff about needs or possible cross-class collaboration opportunities.

 

Sewing instructor

We are looking for someone with several years of sewing experience to teach a sewing class consisting of no more than 4 students per instructor. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of various hand and machine sewing techniques; be knowledgeable in working with a variety of sewing machines and help students plan projects according to their abilities and knowledge.

 

Young at Art Music Teacher

Do you have music theory knowledge that you are looking to use in a creative, hands-on way? We are looking for a music teacher in our Young at Art program for 3-7 year olds. Responsibilities include planning and providing developmentally appropriate hands-on methods and activities to teach music theory concepts; teaching recorder to the older Young at Art students; preparing students for the end of semester concert; assist Choir teacher during choir time; assist with sign-in/sign-out procedures.
