Chsel+ Language Arts

This class includes daily assignments, daily assignment check and corrections, weekly lecture/instruction, and weekly quizes tests. One day a week is insufficient to complete all material, therefore, assignments will be completed at home and to be turned in on due dates as specified on classroom dashboard and/or each meeting day.  Students should be able to independently learn most lessons throughout the week with reinforcement during weekly lecture/instruction time.

Following are the individual Language Arts levels through CLP that this class covers.  If your child is in a writing lab, we will skip the writing LightUnits for each level and those units will not need to be ordered.

Language Arts 600 integrates grammar, spelling, and penmanship into one easy-to-use package. New skills are introduced incrementally at the beginning of each daily lesson, followed by reviews of the latest material as well as more familiar concepts. Lessons conclude with penmanship and spelling practice. Each LightUnit includes two lessons of creative writing.  In addition to basic English skills, students study appositives, complements, dependent clauses, and multiple kinds of pronouns.
