Intro to IEW Workshop

Add to Your Calendar: 06/18/2019 13:00 06/18/2019 16:00 America/Chicago Intro to IEW Workshop

Home

Any student can benefit from a foundational understanding of the structure of writing.

When style elements are added to this, the concern of how to write gives way to the ability to learn what to write.

Beginning with the structure of a simple paragraph, IEW Certified Instructor, Veronica Pedraza, will teach the beginning concepts of IEW writing in a three hour workshop (short break will be included and bringing a snack and/or drink is recommended.)

This live, interactive workshop may be truly helpful you in determining if the IEW writing intensive curriculum is the right fit for your homeschool.

Grades 5-9

Students will be taught to create a Key Word Outline—the foundation for all IEW writing—and retell, represent, and dress up that work using various stylistic techniques core to the IEW structure and style method.

Grade levels are approximate; no previous IEW experience is presumed.

Cost: Introductory Student workshops: $25.00/participant

(Lighthouse Home School Support members receive $5 discount--only $20!)
Limited space available
Parents are welcomed to observe.
