Homeschooling for College Credit Presentation

Jennifer Cook DeRosa, author of Homeschooling for College Credit and Completely FREE Colleges will be presenting "Homeschooling for College Credit in North Carolina" at St. Ann's Catholic Church (Rm. 208) on Tuesday, May 22nd, 2018.  

Cost is $7 per family.

Summary:

Homeschooling for College Credit in North Carolina 2018 introduces parents to the robust college credit opportunities available to their teens starting in 9th grade. Parents will learn how to maximize all 4 years of high school using a combination of CLEP, AP, and Dual Enrollment programs that can lead to the completion of an Associate Degree and guaranteed transfer into NC public colleges. Jennifer’s presentation will last approximately 2 hours and follow with a question and answer session.

Jennifer Cook DeRosa and her husband of 25 years have 4 sons, all homeschooled since kindergarten. Two have graduated, one graduates this year, and one is in high school. All of Jennifer’s children graduated from high school with college credit. Jennifer holds undergraduate degrees from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York and Thomas Edison State University (NJ). Jennifer completed her Post-Baccalaureate in Pre-Medical Dietetic Sciences through Ocean County College (NJ), and earned her Master of Science in Nutrition is from Canisius College (NY). Jennifer currently works for Johnson and Wales University as a Chef’s Choice Instructor. Prior to joining Johnson and Wales, Jennifer was a Nutrition Researcher for The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Culinary Department Chair for Eastern Iowa Community College District.)

 

Students 6th grade and up are welcome to attend with their parents. Please note total attending when filling out the RSVP.  NO childcare for younger siblings will be provided.
