JCCH Standards of Behavior To Publications / Articles - JCCH Standards of Behavior

Posted 8/18/16

All members and non-members attending a JCCH event are expected to behave in a Christian manner, with utmost courtesy and respect for each other, as well as for the facilities we are using. Parents are asked to correct or remove children not behaving appropriately. Attendees not complying with these standards of behavior will be asked to leave the activity.

  • Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right. (Proverbs 20:11)
  • And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Colossians 3:17)

Furthermore, all members are expected to handle disagreements respectfully and to continue to interact with one another as mature Christian individuals. Much of our correspondence is through email, and discussion board posts. Members should understand that written words alone, without the benefit of facial expressions and tone of voice, can result in unintended miscommunication. Members are expected to extend grace to one another, be slow to anger, and seek gentle clarification as needed. Differences of opinion and misunderstandings are inevitable and fair-minded, God-honoring discussion is always welcome. Members that resort to blatant rudeness and disrespect for others in a consistent, unrepentant manner will not be tolerated and may be asked to leave the group.
