What I've Learned in 18 Years of Home Education - Tips From Your Average Mom

Come hear our very own Laura Montgomery share her homeschooling journey.

Homeschooling is a wonderful journey, filled with joyful memories as you watch your children grow and learn. But it can also be tremendously hard and discouraging at times. Sometimes we go through seasons of disappointment as we compare ourselves and our families to others. How do we keep going when we feel like quitting?

Laura will share her own experience with these struggles and offer encouragement and tips to persevere and embrace the unique family God has given you.

Here are a few things that will be discussed:

  • Comparing yourself to others
  • Doing too much/overcommitment
  • Not asking for help
  • Success is not in a magic curriculum

Laura has been home educating her six kids for 18 years and is still going strong. She's been married to Nathan for 24 years. She loves cooking, sewing and roller skating.
