Standardized Testing Requirement

One way to satisfy your year-end testing requirement is to participate in JCHE's group testing.  We use the Terra Nova test and offer a group discount on the test. This two-day testing event occurs in April each year.  This year's group testing is on Monday and Tuesday, April 16 & 17, 2018 at Selma Baptist Church.  Please register and pay by clicking on Group Testing SIGNUP.

Another option is the Woodcock-Johnson IV test.  Lighthouse Educational Services, Diane Allen & Associates, and Triangle Education Assessment all offer this one-on-one testing any month of the year.

For High School students,  the ACT Test, with the optional writing portion, provides both year-end testing and a benchmark for determining academic readiness for college. The ACT with writing includes English, Mathematics, Reading, Science, and Writing tests.  (Use 969999 homeschool code. Many of us choose to take the ACT at Smithfield Selma High School, Test Center Code: 162300.)

More information and options are listed for the Nationally Standardized Testing Requirement on the NC Division of Non-Public Education website.  Testing FAQ from Triangle Eduation Assessment.
