Seniors
Your child's resume should include a record of your teen's activities, volunteer or community service, and talents or skills. A resume may be required for employment.
Transcripts are records of your student's completed high school courses, the credit earned for each course, each course's final grade, and their grade point average (GPA). Colleges and other post-high school institutions will require a transcript for admission. HSLDA provides sample transcripts, a download-able transcript with GPA calculation, and transcript preparation information.
Your child may earn college credit while still in high school through the Career & College Promise Program (CCP/Dual Enrollment). Johnston Community College, Lenoir Community College, and Wake Technical Community College are options in our area. The CCP programs at JCC, Lenoir, and Wake Tech offer different pathways leading to credentials for employment (certificate, diploma, or degree) or a two-year associate's degree which aligns with course requirements at UNC member institutions.
The graduation information meeting is Monday, November 13, 2017 at 2:30 pm in the Board Room of the Smithfield Public Library. Seniors who wish to participate in our Graduation Ceremony and/or receive a diploma must sign up and pay between February 1st thru March 15th.
This is a formal graduation (cap and gown required) to honor our Seniors and their parents. The ceremony for the 2017-2018 school year is Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 2-4 pm at Selma Baptist Church. The Keynote Speaker this year is Sheriff Steve Bizzell.
