Auditions for Romeo & Juliet

We are still seeking actors to play male roles with
lots of staged sword fighting and bravado, as well as female roles of all kinds.

STEP 1: Sign up for an audition slot at the Talents Unleashed studio where we will hold most rehearsals and all performances.

STEP 2: Prepare a monologue from one of the following:

A few selected monologues:  http://www.shakespeare-monologues.org/plays/35  (Click on the first line and the rest of the monologue will come into view.)

Any of the R&J characters, http://shakespeare.mit.edu/romeo_juliet/full.html  . (Shakespeare's entire play!)

(If you would like to send in a video audition instead of an in-person audition, please send us a video of your child performing one of the above.)

STEP 3: Fill out the audition form and send it/bring it to us: https://www.homeschool-life.com/sysfiles/site_uploads/pubs/pub33725_1.pdf

A NOTE ABOUT AUDITION NERVES: We understand that auditioning can be very nerve-wracking and that even accomplished actors can be extremely nervous during auditions. RELAX. We are not necessarily looking for the best performers or perfect memorization of lines. We are looking to see if you:

a) project your voice

b) can follow the director's instructions

c) are a good physical match for the role (e.g. a 9 year old actress might not be the best fit to play Lady Capulet--the mother of Juliet played by an actress who might look 16)
