THIS FIELD TRIP IS CANCELLED AS OF 3/25. THE PARK IS CLOSED DUE TO ITC FIRES.

March is the perfect month for a Texas History field trip!
- 10am-11am: We will have a one-hour, self-guided tour of the Battleship Texas. We will have a scavenger hunt and curriculum provided for the self-guided tour, and families can explore and learn at their own pace.
- 11am-12pm: We will have a one-hour guided tour of the Battleground Site. Park interepreters will bring the battleground to life with stories and touch tables.
- 12pm: Bring a lunch to eat together on-site at their picnic tables.
- Afternoon: The San Jacinto monument nearby has a museum with free entry. The observation deck and film have a fee. This would be a great place to spend your afternoon, but we are not organizing it. Just letting you know.
Please print the attached file and bring it with you. It is the scavenger hunt, self-guided tour packet, map, and park policies.
