This tour was planned so that families could attend both the Hive Tour and Wolf Sanctuary Tour on the same day. However, you do not have to attend both. If you sign up for both, you should bring your lunch and we can eat together on picnic tables at BeeWeaver before we drive to the Wolf Tour.
Description:
Join our Bee Expert in a live hive of bees! You will be comfortably protected in our screened-in observation deck. The beekeeper will explain the tools and practices of beekeeping, as well as the biology of the honey bee and parts of a hive. See close up into a hive of bees! Our private tours also include a private honey tasting for your group. Tour lasts 30-45 minutes.
Know Before You Go:
- What to bring: Protective gear (if you own your own). Water bottle. Camera. Questions
- What to know: Please Wear: sturdy shoes, comfortable outdoor clothing. Please Do Not Wear: perfumes/cologne dark/fuzzy clothing or high healed shoes.
- What is included: Honey tasting and Q&A with an expert beekeeper.
- Picnic tables are available, so please bring a lunch to eat together after the tour.
