HMNS Classes
Classes this month (must be signed up to attend):
Grades K-2:
- 10/21 - The Renaissance - classroom 2/3
Grades 3-5:
- 10/21 - Minerals That Could Kill - classroom 9/10
Grades 6+:
- 10/21 - Mud Puppy Mania (dissection lab) - classroom 15/16
ON CLASS DAY:
Please try to be inside the museum at least 30 minutes prior to class start time. Check in with museum staff at the Group Check-In at the HMNS Box Office, and you will receive your Chaperone Sticker. Let the staffer know you are with Deseret Homeschoolers. You can ask to purchase any necessary discount tickets or extra field trip tickets at this time. Discount ticket and field trip forms will be emailed to you a few days before class. If there are large school groups, politely work your way up to the Box Office to check in. Take the elevators by the Paleontology Hall to access the classroom area on the Lower Level. Stairs will be closed to the public. There is a sign when you exit the elevator indicating that the lower level is closed, but you can walk around the sign to access the classrooms. Please do not enter classrooms until the instructor is present. When the instructors are ready for students to enter, they will open the classroom doors. You may enter at that time. We will need 2-3 parents per class as chaperones, so please stay and help if you are available. Only 3 chaperones will be allowed in each class due to social distancing.
If you can't attend this month, you can post your open class spots in our private Facebook group for families who would like use them.
