(JV/V) T&F @Rockford Early Bird Meet [POSTPONED from 4/11] (4:00 first event)

Wear black underlayers. Be prepared for "winter camping." :) This meet could go until 8:30 P.M. or later.

Be on time unless you cleared with the head coach 3+ days ago of any special circumstances. :) Emergencies do happen, but otherwise allow enough time to forget something at home, drive into the school complex, get stuck behind a bus, park your vehicle, find/walk to team camp, situate your stuff, stand in line for the outhouse because you're properly hydrated and have been in the car a long time, etc. Team huddle and warmup will begin promptly at the time specified below.

3:15 arrival/setup; 3:30 team warmup; 4:00 coaches' meeting; 4:15 first field event, 4:30 first running event.
The event grid (who's competing in what) will be posted in the team Google Drive (Meet Day Stuff folder).
Given the changes in individual availability, we are still finalizing all of the relay orders and will send another email when the grid is complete.

Order of events is standard for all of our high school meets.

Wear your uniform! Then after the meet, wash it and hang to dry.

Early Bird Meet

DATE: Friday  – April 08, 2022

TIME: Field Events – 4:15pm Running Events – 4:30pm

COACHES MTG:     4:00pm at the finish line

SCHOOLS COMPETING: Dassel Cokato, Spectrum, Rockford, Parnassus, West Lutheran High School, Nighthawks 

Timing and Results:   We will not be using FAT, Hand times will be given to the athletes, Field marks and results will be recorded, which I will send out on email.
 

EVENT ASSIGNMENTS

Our goal is to fill all the worker assignments with volunteers. If we cannot fill all positions, we will let you know at the coaches meeting that we may need help.

Field Events:

4:15 Boys Shot and Girls Discus – 4 throws 

4:15 Long Jump Both Genders – 4 attempts 

4:15 Triple Jump Both Genders – 4 attempts 

4:15 Boys followed by Girls High Jump 

Shot: maybe inside in the Gym.   Bring indoor shots just in case.   So, bring both

Disc:   We will see how wet it is after tomorrow, but there is a chance that will happen outside

PV:   We are pretty sure we want to cancel this event.  My PV coach is always concerned for safety at colder temps.  If we could use the field house, no problem, we simply can’t. 

Participation:

• Unlimited participation for all individual events (within Reason)

• 2-3 Relays per school – per event

• Fastest runners will be in the first heat.

• 1/8” or ¼ # pyramid spikes only

• Team Camps on infield, I will have tarps

• 3200 Meter will be run CO-ED and the 4x800 will be run separate

• Will use standard MSHL order of events

• There will be food and drinks for coaches and volunteers
