I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming IEW Parent Seminar. Here are a few final reminders:

Bring Teaching Writing: Structure and Style seminar notebook ( available online from IEW or Lifelong Learning Resources, formerly Children’s Books, has the notebook @ $35, (If you do not yet have a seminar workbook, call Lifelong Learning Resources ASAP and ask if you can still purchase a book to be delivered to UHC on Monday in time for our workshop). Bring pen or pencil.

Plan to arrive 15 minutes early for check in and seating---we have to start the seminar promptly at 12:30. Thank you! Meet us in the “Student Center” at Grace Church, Taylors Campus, 2701 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29615,

Take a few moments to assemble your seminar notebook (Teaching Writing: Structure and Style notebook) beforehand.

Consider bringing a snack--the workshop is long; snacks are a nice treat! *Normally at this workshop we have sort of a “potluck” snack set up, but due to COVID 19, we ask you to bring your own snacks. I will provide coffee and one bottled water for each participant. You may want to bring another beverage with you.

UHC Parent Training for IEW Writing Courses
Summer 2020
This training program is mandatory for parents enrolling students in the following Institute for Excellence in Writing courses at UHC:

4th Grade IEW
-
5th Grade IEW
-
IEW 1, 6th Grade for Sixth Graders new to UHC
-
IEW 1, 7th-8th Grade for Seventh or Eighth Graders new to UHC
A parent must attend all three of the following 2020 training sessions:

Monday, July 13: 12:30 to 5 p.m.

Tuesday, July 14: 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Wednesday, July 15: 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
