VBHE Annual Book Sale

Add to Your Calendar: 08/22/2020 09:00 08/22/2020 13:00 America/New_York VBHE Annual Book Sale

We are pleased to announce that the annual book sale will take place!  It will look different this year and is obviously later than normal, but it will go on!

This year, we will be outside under canopies in a beautiful setting.  Tenley and Don Long are graciously allowing us the use of their grounds at their new business venture and the new location for Tenley's homeschool lending library.  In addition to the book sale, we will have field day activities for the kids.  And, food: hotdogs, chips, Little Debbie cakes, and lots of beverages to quench your thirst and keep you hydrated.  In addition, Tenley has agreed to share her years of homeschool wisdom and experience, her knowledge of different styles of teaching, and her collection of multiple curricula.  This is a great opportunity for those new to homeschooling and those who have been in the trenches, but need to change things up a bit.

To do our part towards stopping the spread of any infectious diseases, every seller will be assigned a table,or tables, and will handle their own sales.  Every table will have hand sanitizer and disinfectant spray.  Tenley is offering tours of the library and has the shelves stocked with awesome books she is selling for $1 each.  A mask will be required to enter the building, but with all she has for sale, it will be well worth the hassle of wearing one to see what they've created and find some great deals!

We do hope you'll join us!  Even if you've made your purchases for this year, get a head start on next year! Nothing to sell or buy, come anyway for the food, the fun, and the fellowship!  Consider bringing that friend or neighbor homeschooling their child or children for the first time.  They'll see homeschool socialization at its best and will be able to mingle with veterans that can, perhaps, relieve some of their anxiety.
