Mr. Michael Shields To All Instructors

Michael Shields received his Masters of Statistics from NC State University and BS in Physics from The Catholic University of America. He has worked in the intelligence community for over ten years and is co-founder of a predictive analytics startup. A homesteader in Lovettsville and father to four home schooled children with a fifth on the way, Michael is a St. Francis de Sales parishioner and cradle Catholic.

Michael values exploration of the natural world and the sciences through the lens of Catholic moral teaching and natural law. He brings the perspective of a Catholic career scientist to teaching high school science classes.
