Sewing

Karen Gaylord has a BS in Biology from St. Lawrence University and a MS Ed from Syracuse University. She has been a parishioner at St. Francis de Sales since 1999 and has 4 daughters and 2 granddaughters. She homeschooled for 20 years, was a 4H poultry club leader for 12 years and has taught various homeschool sewing classes over the years. Prior to homeschooling she had a business sewing vestments. Karen has remained active in the creative arts of sewing, quilting, knitting and crocheting and looks forward to passing on sewing skills to the younger generation. Teaching these  skills helps others to experience this wonderful creative outlet,  gives balance to their lives and can save them money in hems, repairs, curtains, and so on.
