PICNIC!!! End-of-year blast!
Hey everyone!
We try hard to find a suitable park for us to have our picnics at, but it is hard to find one that meet our needs. Our needs are:
*pavilion seats minimum of 100-150 *playground very close to pavilion *open area for games *electricity for our sound system *south or centrally located
Plus some of the smaller municipalities will not even let you rent a pavilion unless you are a community member. We wanted to do Kirkwood Park again with the those 2 big pavilions, but the entire week was booked. We really like Lemay Park, but they have never restored their electricity since they did some sewer repairs. So, we are back at Sylvan Springs with BOTH pavilions. Still not big enough, but it will do. Last year folks brought blankets and ate on the grassy area.
The price is only $6 a family, but we will need at least 54 families to sign up in order to break even. Pavilions were $180 alone and we want to buy some nice game prizes and bless our game guys.
Hope you can come! Bring friends if you want. There is a public sign up available. But if you are a SHARE member, please sign up on the SHARE calendar at www.sharehomeschool.com. BUT please LOG in first!!!
There will be no SHARE events through the summer--we will be busy working on Homelink promotions.
