How to Write a Research Paper
One of the critical skills needed for college and for many professional careers is the ability to write a well thought out, properly supported research paper. Whether your child is homeschooled or learning in a more traditional environment, they will almost certainly benefit from the opportunity to learn to research and write a high quality paper on a topic of their choice in a small group setting. Topics will include paper structure, source evaluation, and the use of supporting statements. We will also cover the art of the summary, how to give presentations without (too much) anxiety, and giving and receiving feedback appropriately. There will also be plenty of opportunities for individually tailored feedback. This is not a creative writing class.
