Junior Academy is a weekly drop-off for students in TK-6th grades, with classes taught by Independently Contracted teachers. Classes will cover the four core subjects of Language Arts, math, history, and science. Parents will purchase the curriculum set forth by the teacher.

The Monday schedule will be as follows:
9:00 - 9:25 - Rise & Stride A run/walk to praise music.
9:30 - 10:30 - 1st-hour instruction
10:30 - 10:40 - break
10:40 -11:40 - 2nd-hour instruction
11:40 - 12:15 - Lunch
12:20- 1:20 - 3rd-hour instruction
1:20 - 1:30 - break (TK/Kindergarten ends here)
1:30 - 2:30 - 4th-hour instruction


Non-refundable Admin fee (in addition to the class fee): $235
Admin fee is due within 30 days of class registration and is not refundable for any reason.


Class fees payable directly to the teachers: $1600/year per student.
There is no refund for any drops for any Junior Academy classes.


Parents must sign up to volunteer as a lunch monitor three times (per student enrolled) throughout the school year.

As with all HCS services, parents are required to volunteer time in order to participate in Junior Academy. Each parent must sign up for 2-3 volunteer slots per student enrolled in Junior Academy. The number of slots will be determined by the overall Junior Academy enrollment. Each slot is a one-hour commitment. If you are able and willing to take on more slots, please feel free to do so! We could definitely use the help!
