Pioneer Reading Post
WHAT IS A PIONEER READING POST VOLUNTEER NETWORK?
THIS IS A VOLUNTEER NETWORK OF PPHRC MEMBERS WHO OPEN
THEIR HOMES FOR A WEEKLY STORY TIME
Do you want to volunteer to open your home and be a "Reading Post Host"?
As a member, you can add your "post" to the PPHRC calendar. This allows others to see the location of story times in their area and to sign up. Attendees can be anyone you invite. They do not have to be a member of PPHRC. As a host, you are encouraged to always finish the story hour by concluding with reflections on God's good promises and evidence for these in the literature or story and with prayer.
Do you want to volunteer to be a "circuit rider" and read stories at a "post"?
You can definitely be a blessing by volunteering to read for a story hour in a homeschool home! You will technically be the "Reading Post Host" in the home of a PPHRC member. "Circuit Riders" must be a member of PPHRC also. The circuit rider will be responsible for adding their "post" to the calendar and being prepared with stories each time.
Do you homeschool and desire to attend a Christian inspired story time with your family at a "post"?
Browse the dates and locations on the calendar to find a post near you and sign up today! This gives the host notice of your planned attendance. You do not have to be a PPRHC member to participate. (It is expected that parents are present at all times during the story our to monitor their own families.)
Leaders sign a Pioneer Reading Post Promise.
It simply states you promise to follow up all your stories with reflections on God’s promises so that story hour becomes a light for the Gospel. How exciting to network and share the blessing of providing home-based story hour’s that glorify God.
Email Julie @ [email protected] for how to become a member of PPHRC and a part of this exciting literature enrichment program for Christian families and homeschoolers.
*Thank you for being a part of this network. Please note this is a completely volunteer activity of members and non-members and PPHRC is not responsible for any misconduct in any way.
