Questions about PPHRC

Q:

What is Julie Davis's background in education and homeschooling?

A:

Julie has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management and Human Relations. She taught a couple years in the 1990's at Pioneer Christian Academy. A love for teaching was sparked for teaching through principles, analysis, whole literature, and notebooking. She eventually became the mother of four and spent years applying herself to teaching her own. She is now authoring her own high school curriculum called Promise Point which synthesizes many years of personal study and practice.

Q:

How much does it cost to be a member of PPHRC?

A:

This is all new and we are offering a discounted membership for the year of 2021 while we begin this new resource for homeschooling families. A one-year membership cost only $35. There is no enrollment fee for classes. If you are unhappy in any way, we will give you a 100% refund. Our hope is to be a blessing to you and an encouragement.

Q:

What are the membership benefits included in the annual fee?

A:

PPHRC family memberships allow your family website access to communicate in the family forum, post photos, advertise "for-sale" items in the classifieds, enter your family business into the business directory, and participation in the PPHRC family directory. You may print your own members card for a homeschool I.D. Through your membership, you will be able to register for all PPHRC classes and workshops for all ages. Every member is given the opportunity to lead a Pioneer Reading Post for other families. You will also be able to work with Julie personally for questions and consulting.

(There are many classroom and library resources from a previous Christian school that are coming to PPHRC members and will be available for checkout in the future.)

Q:

Why are parents given the option to register for classes as well as the children?

A:

PPHRC is family friendly. We have a heart to model teaching methods to parents so that they will be given support as parent educators. We encourage parents to be present in classes so that they will grow in new ways to teach great content with methods that make a big difference.
