Statement of Faith
Statement of Faith
1. We allow the light of Jesus Christ to illuminate all the youth's learning and we seek after the things that inspire a love of God.
(John 8:12) Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
(2 Nephi 25:26) And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.
(John 14:6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
(13th article of Faith) We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul -- We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things. (Phillippians 4:8)
(Matthew 7:20) Wherefore, by their fruits ye shall know them.
(Moroni 7:5, 12-13) For I remember the word of God which saith by their works ye shall know them; for if their works be good, then they are good also. 12. Wherefore, all things which are good cometh of God; 13. But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, everything which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God.
(Doctrine & Covenants 88:119 and 109:7) And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom, seek learning even by study and also by faith;
