Come join us for an introduction class for Beginning Sign Language (ASL). It will be taught by one of our own, Natalie Brobst. While she is not an RID certified interpreter, she has been signing for 10 years and is well-known in the Deaf community - signing at her church as well as helping Deaf friends navigate doctor's appointments and other challenges. Natalie will eventually be offering several 4-week classes which will all build on one another. As well as teaching ASL, she will cover the history of ASL, Deaf culture and the science of hearing. The fee includes handouts and a copy of Signing Made Easy, by Rod Butterworth because it is referenced quite extensively in class and contains lots of different activities to strengthen memory. This half-hour class is currently available only to 1st-3rd graders and will be a great introduction for your children. Who knows, you may be harboring a budding interpreter in your home!

The above listing is a paid class.  HAHA assumes no responsibility for any outcomes, transactions or experiences with this service/business. To find out how to get your event on our calendar, go to hahaofpa.org or click HERE.
