NOTE: Attendance at the Breadboard Basics Class (either on Sept 29th or Oct 13th) is required before taking this class. And this class is a prerequisite for the Arduino Based Robot Build (offered in Feb 2021)

This 4-class course (2 hrs/class) is a “light” or “pared down” version of the Intro to Arduino – Full class (offered in Dec 2020) however all the topics covered in this class will fulfill the prerequisite requirements to move onto the Arduino Based Robot Build (offered in Feb 2021).

This class is designed to provide the student with a general working knowledge of the Arduino CPU and how to interact with sensors attached. Class takeaways are: Arduino pins and usage, Arduino programming tools, Arduino debugging, Voltage considerations, and Sensors and interfaces including: LEDs and push buttons, Ultrasonic Distance and Temperature and Humidity.

All components will be mailed to the student by Katapult (equipment and postage is included in the price of the class). Students must have access to a computer and the internet. Windows machines are preferred however Katapult should be able to support IOS machines as well.  Adult supervision during classes is requested. The instructor will contact each student prior to the first class to get their laptop/computer set up. All subsequent classes will include emailed documentation and all attendees on a joint ZOOM.
