Join us to learn about the travel industry. We will get a tour around the outside of the bus, seeing where the luggage is stored and where the fuel goes in. Then we will climb aboard learning about who is allowed to drive the bus and how long they are legally allowed to drive before they must stop for the day, safety tips/requirements for passengers, as well as taking a peek into the bathroom! We will take a short ½ mile drive around the block and then head into the wash bay. They will explain about the maintenance and care of their buses and even introduce us to their mechanics.
We will also see the office and learn how many people it takes to run a travel business as well as all the places they go.
NOTE: Younger siblings are allowed to join this event and may be held on an adult’s lap for the drive around the block. If you sign up for a free field trip and then are unable to attend, you must let the coordinator know at least one hour prior to the time of the trip, or a $5 no-show fee will be billed to your account.
