Monarch Tagging Demo at 1 pm in the Amphitheater

Celebrate peak monarch migration and learn all about monarchs and their conservation with our children's activities and Monarch Conservation Station hosted by monarch biologist John Drummond!

Children's activities will be located near the Amphitheater and will include crafts, puzzles, learning displays, and more. They will be available from 10 am - 3 pm.

Visit John Drummond, monarch biologist from Lafayette College, in the Amphitheater at 1 pm to see a monarch tagging demonstration. He will also be set up in the Amphitheater-adjacent lot with his collection of live monarch eggs, caterpillars, chrysalises, and adult butterflies. Some you will even be able to see using a microscope!

John will share information and explain the reasons for the recent decline in the monarch populations and what you can do to help, including planting milkweed.

Be sure to stop by to meet John, see the display and leave with FREE milkweed seeds - 3 varieties while supplies last! He will also have information about gardening for monarchs and other native pollinators.

For your own safety and per CDC guidelines, please mask if you are unvaccinated. Wearing a mask when indoors or in highly populated areas is recommended.
