Time: Arrive at 11:45am for 12:00pm tour
Cost: Free (NOTE: If you sign up for a free field trip & are unable to attend, you must let the coordinator know before the time of the trip, or a $5 no-show fee will be billed to your account.)
Ages: All (Tour Groups are limited to 10 people)

Did you know that Theodore Roosevelt described our Capitol Building as the "handsomest" he ever saw?  Join us as we tour the PA State Capitol on Friday, December 4th at 11:00 a.m. Please register all who will be in attendance, including toddlers.  Please note that while there are elevators available for strollers.

We will meet in the Main Rotunda at the bottom of the steps.  This is the Third Street side, not the fountain side.

  • Please wear a facemask that covers your nose and mouth. Masks should not be placed on children under age 2.
  • Maintain at least 6 feet between your group members and others throughout the tour. Please feel free to use the hand sanitizing stations throughout the Capitol.
  • We are limiting the number of people per elevator.
  • We apologize but the Welcome Center is closed at this time.
  • There is no indoor dining and limited food selection at the Capitol Restaurant at this time.

Please be sure to allow plenty of time for parking.

All visitors - no exceptions - to the PA State Capitol will be processed through metal detectors. All bags and packages will be x-rayed, and are subject to hand inspection. Personal items may be hand-inspected. Security screening may require whole body pat-down. Confiscated materials will NOT be returned. Persons have the right to refuse any or all of these security screening procedures. Entry to the building will be denied. Items may not be delivered or left behind. Visitors exiting the Capitol must be reprocessed for return entry.
