This 4-week class is designed to provide the student with a general working knowledge of the Arduino CPU and how to interact with sensors attached. Discussion of Arduino pins and usage, Arduino programming tools and debugging, sensor interfaces and voltage considerations. This class is identical to the first 4 weeks of the Arduino Full class.

Students need to provide a laptop. Prefer Windows machines however they should be able to support IOS machines as well.

Topics covered include:
1. Introduction to Arduino cpu. IDE or programming tool setup. Debug with serial port. Blink the LED and print the “Hello World” demo.
2. Push buttons and LEDs.
3. DHT22 Temperature/Humidity sensor.
4. HC-SR04 Distance Measuring sensor.
5. Infrared Remote Control.

All components to be provided by Katapult. Students keep equipment.

It is possible for a student, after completing the Arduino Lite class, to continue with the next 2 sessions – completing the Arduino Full class. Please contact Beth Mellott BEFORE simply showing up at Katapult so all the necessary equipment is available. This will result in your account being billed the price difference plus a small surcharge.
