While most people like ladybugs because of their beautiful colors, as well as the belief that they bring good luck, farmers love lady bugs for the important role they play on the farm!

Lady bugs are incredibly important for pest control on the farm, with the average ladybug eating up to 5,000 pests during its lifetime!
In this lesson, students will learn all about pests that farmers face, and the ladybug's role as the "farm hero."
Included activities will be constructing paper ladybugs, learning about the ladybug lifestyle, and seeing if we can find any lady bugs of our own!
