CLT Testing for 11th-12th Grade
If you are looking for an alternative to the SAT or ACT for your 11th or 12th grader we are offering one. The CLT is designed with classically educated students in mind. Classic Learning Test’s suite of exams assesses language arts and mathematics with content designed to engage students’ imaginations and problem-solving skills. These standardized exams equip educators with in-depth analytics to better understand how to meet students’ needs and maximize their potential. Many Christian universities and colleges, as well as some secular schools, are accepting CLT scores instead of ACT and SAT scores for students as a college entrance exam. The CLT will count for your end-of-year testing for your high schooler in North Carolina, as well as a college entrance exam. This is a test that you can administer at home as well, but if we have at least 5 students sign up to take it together at Classical Scholars we can save 25% off the cost, and 50% if we have at least 10 students register, typically the cost is $59 before the discount.
We are planning to offer the test online on March 16 from 1-3 pm at Blue Ridge Christian Church. Students will need to bring a laptop or Chromebook with them to take the test. You must be present at CS to take this test with us on the day of testing.
I need to register everyone by this Friday, February 16th. So, if you are interested please let Mrs. Hardin know as soon as possible to register. Students do not have to attend classes at CS, so if you know other homeschoolers who might be interested let them know to contact Mrs. Hardin (thehardinfive@gmail.com).
