Seven Oaks Vision Statement & Parent Role

Vision Statement:

Our vision is to cultivate wisdom and virtue by nourishing our children’s souls on truth, goodness, and beauty so that, in Christ, our students are enabled to better know, glorify, and enjoy God. We desire that our children embrace a lifelong love of the Lord, Wisdom and learning.  We strive to assist our homeschooling families in achieving meaningful and lasting success in their home education using a Classical model with Charlotte Mason inspirations within a Christian community that homeschools together 2 days a week.

Proverbs 24:3-5 (NKJV) Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; By knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong, yes, a man of knowledge increases strength.

Role of Parents:

This program was structured to encourage a strong community and allow for fellowship. This doesn’t happen unless parents are in attendance and engaged. All parents will contribute to the community with their time and gifts. The expectation will be for parents to be on campus and serving while students are in classes. This is how we homeschool together. .Parents are required to have an ongoing job that consists of 6-10 hours/week on site during co-op and complete service hours. This community only works if parents are all pitching in equally to help teach classes and support the community.  There are a variety of jobs for a variety of skills, but it will be expected that all families share in the responsibilities equally.
