Statement of Faith

The board of directors provides this statement of faith to define ourselves. People of all faiths are welcome to be members of this group. We understand that there are many religions and sects in the world, and claim the privilege of worshipping God as our conscience dictates. We believe in agency and that all men deserve the same privilege.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God, as long as it is translated correctly.

We believe that there is one God the Father, self-existent, who has always been and will always be, and that knowing Him truly is the foundation of all knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. (John 17:3, Psalm 90:2, Revelation 1:8)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God manifest in the flesh, born of a virgin (Luke 1:35); that He is the Savior of mankind through the Atonement in the Garden of Gethsemane and His death on the cross (John 3:16-17); that He rose from the dead (Mark 16:6, Acts 1:21-22) and ascended to Heaven (Mark 16:19); that He broke the bands of death and that all mankind will be resurrected (1 Cor 15:20-23, 26); and that He will return again in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Matthew 25:31).

We believe that all mankind are spiritual sons and daughters of God, and that all people on Earth are our brothers and sisters (Acts 17;29).

We believe that God is the creator of the family unit, and that family relationships are eternal. We believe that God designed marriage to be between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:18, 24, 1 Cor 11:11). We believe that gender is an essential characteristic of individual identity and purpose both during mortal life and in Heaven. We believe that children are entitled to birth within the bonds of matrimony, and to be reared by a father and a mother who honor marital vows with complete fidelity. We believe that children belong to God who has given the responsibility and authority for their education and upbringing to their parents, and that it is the responsibility of the parents to protect this right (Ephesians 6:4). We believe that parents will be held accountable before God for the discharge of these obligations.
